Eco-camp Tršić ...

The Eco-camp Tršić project was initiated 2008. by the following local organizations: the Association of Hosts Tršić, “Deca i Prijatelji” (Kids and Friends), and the Union of Citizens “Da budemo zdravi” (Let us be healthy). It was implemented in association with local organizations and with the financial support of local companies.

The results of the project

The results of Eco-camp Tršić 2008. were beyond all expectations of the organizers, participants and sponsors. Many mini scrap yards on the territory of Tršić and Tronoša were cleaned up, as well as a big one in Tronoša, at the very beginning of “Vuk’s path to school”. Eleven trucks and two tractors with trailers were loaded with all kinds of trash collected in this area and driven to the city dump.

Within the scope of Eco-camp, the first containers for recycling of PET and ALU packaging were placed in this area. So far, five containers have been set in the municipality Loznica in association with private companies that have recognized the need for environment protection.

Eco-camp Tršić 2008. also saw organization of the lectures on environment protection and Serbian language and culture for foreign volunteers. Those lectures were held by the Young Researchers of Serbia.

By getting growing support from local institutions and public companies, the members of our organizations draw the attention of local population to the significance of participation in environment protection, keep them up to date with the problems of rural local community and allow cooperation with the local community at other levels as well.

Our partners

For the second year in a row we cooperate with the Young Researchers of Serbia and their volunteer service. (Through this service) They invite volunteers from all over the world, and then form a specific group with a competent camp-leader who coordinates the wishes and needs of volunteers and organizers. Their office also organizes lectures on environment protection and Serbian language and culture. For more information, click on the logo below...
